What it does

Tally is a form builder that works like a document: you type the questions, add logic, pick a theme and publish. The free plan has no limit on forms or responses, which almost no competitor matches, and the paid plan adds custom domains, removal of the Tally branding, file uploads beyond the free quota and team features.

Using it to validate an idea

Build a five-question survey about the problem, not the product: how often it happens, what it costs the person today, what they have already tried, and what they would pay to make it go away. Send it only to the segment named in your pitch; a general audience produces flattering noise. Add an optional email field at the end for people who want to hear when the solution exists. That list is your first waitlist and the people you should interview next. Tally also makes a decent order form for a pre-sale test when paired with a payment link.

Pricing

Free with unlimited responses. Pro is about $29 a month for custom domains, branding removal and advanced features; a Business tier adds team controls.
